Scary Book Habits

So this is gonna be a really quick post- but thanks to Zezee’s comment on my last post, I thought I might expand on what I was discussing. Yesterday I talked about my horrifying habit of finishing series I dislike; today I’m going to give you some other examples of my terrifying bookish habits:

Buying too many books

book-haul

Folding down pages and generally desecrating books

book

Not taking friends recommendations or getting to books in my tbr quickly enough!

(and maybe this one’s reasonable- but I still feel a ridiculous amount of guilt over it)

Staying up all night to read

moon

Being generally uncommunicative and distracted

Because right now all I care about is what is going to happen to my favourite characters dammit!! When people speak to me it’s like this:

And that’s it for today! I don’t think I could bear to explore any more of my vices (of which there are many!) Let me know in the comments- do you share any of these habits? Do you have any others?

Lol, your posts always make me laugh.
I am 100% with you on Exhibit A. But I no longer desecrate books. I used to highlight the hell out of them. Now I use sticky notes! And I love taking friend’s recommendations..Ok, so yeah, basically you have some scary book habits that I don’t practice. I don’t even stay up all night reading. I have never been able to do that. x) I get sleepy too easily.

Ah I’m glad!! Haha yes I have to admit now I’m done with uni Todd is a less common occurrence- unless I see a really good live that’s just crying out to be underlined 😉 and sticky notes work too (as long as you don’t have too many of them or they fall out) hahaha I’m glad I scared you with my book habits! Haha to be fair about staying up late, that’s not just with reading- writing, blogging, and pretty much anything wise will keep me up late! I’m a pretty nocturnal person!

Buying too many books… Gosh, what a curse, right? Although it also makes me quite happy to see these beautiful, sexy, amazing books staring at me every day… or maybe they wanted to haunt me, cause that TBR never stops growing! I feel like I should try a whole night of just reading without sleep, on purpose. I’m really curious of what kind of thrill that would be like! 😛 Awesome vices! 😉

Haha yup highlighting, writing, everything really- I’m a terrible person! And I have a ton of bookmarks but somehow I never seem to have them to hand- so I always end up just finding the pages! It’s a good thing b I’m always reading second hand copies!

LOVE this post! AHAHA I have the terrible habit of buying WAY TOO MANY BOOKS. I feel like I need all my babies as soon as I can but I don’t get to them until WAY later and sometimes I lose interest XD I have so many books on my shelves I haven’t read and STILL I go and buy more! I’ve also started underlining and tagging my books too! AND HAHA the curse of the mountainous TBR. SO MANY RELATABLE THINGS, I love this post!

Hahaha! Guilt-ridden all the time here as well. But when it comes to socialising with the same friend who has bought me a particular book, I’m like, would you just please fuck off at a decent time so I can get back to my reading again? 😀 And not feeling any guilt over that at all. It’s just the books man. They’re innocent and need to be read.
