Hogwarts Tag

hogwarts logo

I wasn’t tagged for this, but I saw this brilliant post over on Zezee’s blog and even though I didn’t get tagged… this was too good to pass up!! Especially on Harry Potter’s birthday!

And if you’re wondering how I know that date, my answer is…

hermione bitch please

Am I a pureblood, half-blood, or muggle born?

Probably half blood- my family are batty enough that there’s got to be a wizard in there somewhere… but then there’d also be a lot of oblivious muggles I reckon

Which wand chose me?

wand pottermore

Did I take an owl, cat, rat, or toad with me?

I couldn’t pass up an owl, even if I’d want a cat! Which is a pretty contrary answer, but whatever, who could say no to this face…

chouette harfang

Where did the Sorting Hat put me?

ravenclaw

What house did I want to be in?

Ravenclaw- isn’t that how the hat works? It takes your feelings into account 😉

What lessons are my favorite and least favorite?

Favorites:

Charms (what’s not to like?)

Transfiguration (ditto)

Defense Against the Dark Arts (let’s kick some dementor butt!)

Divination (if not taught by Prof. Trelawney)

History of Magic (I never get why no one likes this- it’s *history* + *magic*- basically it’s fantasy books!)

Meh:

Arithmancy (I’m assuming it’d be like maths, which I liked up until my last year of school and then I got bored)

Astronomy (it’d send me to sleep)

Study of Ancient Runes (ditto)

Care of Magical Creatures (upsides and downsides- the upsides being nifflers and hippogriffs… the downsides being blast-ended skrewts)

Least favorites:

Divination (ARGHHH THE FUTURE IS SCARY- STAY AWAY!!)

Herbology (ughh basically biology)

Potions (Snape who, let’s face it, was a horrible teacher + chemistry = yeuch!)

Muggle Studies (ermm real life? Who’d pick that?)

The form my patronus takes:

ocicat

Ocicat- I was so happy with this, cos as I mentioned recently, my favourite animal is an ocelot, and this is pretty darn close!

What does a boggart look like for me?

Ermm a crazy person? A clown? A high building? I’m pretty easy to scare… I mean just ask any of my family members- I jump when they enter a room- so yeah- it’d probably just be someone going “BOO!”

boo.gif

Gosh I’d have the lamest boggart ever.

Do I partake in any magical hobbies or school sports?

Haha I’d love to think that I’d be good at quidditch- but let’s face it, I was never good at/interested in school sports. I’d have been that really cool kid that hung out in the library all the time with the books 😉

Where would I find myself hanging in my free time?

Hehe okay, time for some naughty school confessions: I was very very good at hiding in all the schools I went to. Here are just some examples: in a secret corner of the music room I discovered was the perfect nook for reading (plus you could leave your book there before the lesson and read to your heart’s content- result!), anywhere where there were overgrown foliage, under the stairs, behind the shelves in the library, the careers room (no one was ever there), the roof (which makes sense, I *am* a monkey). It’s a wonder I was never caught- either way I imagine, even at Hogwarts (especially at Hogwarts!), I would be anywhere I wasn’t supposed to be. I’d snaffle that Marauders Map in a heartbeat and end up in the Shrieking Shack before you can say Alohamora!

whomping willow

Also the message of this story for anyone under 18: stay in school kids! (But more importantly, if you’re gonna misbehave *don’t get caught*)

What would I most likely get detention for?

Reading at my desk, writing things unrelated to class, duelling (I mean if I could manage to create epic battles with just a ruler- imagine what I could do with a wand!)

What career do I want after leaving Hogwarts?

This one’s actually really hard, cos I don’t know that many wizarding careers- I’d say writing for the Daily Prophet cos it’s the closest to writing I can think of (I could be the next Rita Skeeter… ugh what a thought)

Love your answers! For Harry’s Birthday I decided to do The Ultimate Harry Potter Book Tag, but I am going to steal this from you too and add it to my queue! Because…September 1st is right around the corner!

Thanks for the tag! I have to be honest, it seems super hard to answer hahaha I know some of the answers I can simply take from pottermore but for the majority … I am not sure I have enough magical knowledge.

Care of magical creatures would definitely be my favorite. I spent all of high school in my Zoology room taking care of all kinds of reptiles and subsequently in college expanded that to include birds and mammals. I agree with you on anything math or chemistry. No thank you!
    Happy Birthday Harry Potter!!

Aww I’d love ‘Care of Magical Creatures’ and ‘Potions’! I think I would be like Hagrid and just love every animal, no matter how scary and dangerous lol. And Potions… Mixing stuff together is fun!! 😀 I’ll take an Owl as well!

HA THAT HERMIONE GIF. Lol my patronus is a black and white cat, and my best friend is some other cat (I honestly don’t remember what type haha). Our friend got a rat and we make fun of him because we have a theory that he’s related to Peter Pettigrew XD. That makes no sense I know but he still manages to get annoyed by HIS TRUE PATRONUS. 😂😂 He retook it and got something totally different but THERE IS NO RETAKING ON POTTERMORE. BAD.

Lol! I totally should have tagged you!! 😀
Glad you did it though and **hugs** cause you’re a fellow Ravenclaw!
Lol! I never thought of History of Magic that way before but now I think I’d totally love that subject.
And I think Hogwarts would have freaking awesome parties so…. I’d look for you in the nooks and crannies and drag you to a few. 😛

hehe no worries- I loved your tag- I’m so glad I saw it!! 😀
      YES!!! Ravenclaws unite!!! 😀
hahaha I know right- it’s a class for reading fantasy books- so even if you have a sucky teacher, you can sit there reading at your desk and no one can complain 😉
      heehhehehe yes!!!!

Haha what a great tag, thanks for tagging me!! Looking forward to answering these 🙂

I like that you would be the kid hanging out in the library instead of playing Quidditch, that’d probably be me too to be honest. And that’s impressive that you got away with hiding in all those places, especially in the music classroom!! But if your music classes were as chaotic as the ones I remember, and the hiding spot was a good one, I can see how it would have gone unnoticed.

OMG you’re so right, History of Magic IS basically fantasy books! *gasp* I never understood why everyone was so bored with it, either, but I just assumed Burns was the issue, not the subject (I always liked History, but a teacher CAN make you despite a subject very quickly).
Your ocicat is so cute I can’t even *_* And I’m super jumpy too! How am I a Gryffindor? (Then I remember Neville was one too, so…)
I’d love to visit the Shrieking Shack, and hopefully with the Marauders! Not as animals, though, that’d be weird and I’d probably be killed XD They’re so epic.
I’ think you’d be a fabulous journalist! And everyone would thank you for taking up Rita’s job too hahaha
Thank you so much for tagging me for this! One of the most awesome tags ever ❤ I just loved reading all your answers ^_^

Yeah I know right!! Yes I kind of get that, cos we’ve all had terrible history teachers before lol (at least I have 😉) but it never put me off the subject, and at least the reading material here would be amazing!!
Hehehe well it makes sense cos being brave is about facing your fear rather than not having any 😉 (neville is a great example of that)
Yes hehehe! And thanks so much!! It really is the best tag- I had so much fun with it!! ❤😁

I JUST LEARNED THE WORD SNAFFLE! My life is complete.

But seriously, this tag is awesome. I can’t do it, or I’ll subject myself to endless hours of pondering over what classes I’d like best and such. I love that you call out the sorting hat takes your choice into consideration. I haven’t been sorted yet, but what’s the point? I’m 100% Hufflepuff. 😉

Loved your answers hahaahh So much originality! Them hiding spots in school sound so sick. And also slightly scary since it sounds like you could easily escape the system without anyone noticing, which… is very bad for anyone with bad–criminal–intentions!! 😛

hehehe thank you!! hehehe yes 😉 fortunately the schools I went to were pretty tame, just the first one I went to had no structure or discipline 😉 Actually that was just a weird school in general :p when I changed schools my first thought was “ohh so this is what school is really like” 😉
