Fall Book Tag

fall-book-tag (1).png

Hello!! Right now I’m looking out my window and it’s awash with beautiful oranges and I realised “hang on a sec it’s nearly December, this’ll be gone soon!”… so I thought it might be the time to do a tag I almost forgot about (whoops!)

Thank you so much to the lovely Nel@ReactionaryTales for tagging me to do this one- she’s one of my absolute favourite people on here, so if you aren’t acquainted get on over to her *fantastic* blog and introduce yourself!!

This tag was created by Shanah from Bionic Book Worm. All of the graphics used belong to her.

I just love how this was made and the unique style this gave the book.

It’s been too long since I mentioned this MIND BLOWINGLY GOOD book!!

carry on

I want to say something different, but my brain is going Carry On, Carry On, Carry On.

This book is on fire!

Red Rising Pierce Browns

It’s been wayyy too long since I’ve raved about this book- but what with the new book coming up, I thought I’d mention it again. Speaking of new books…

girl in the tower

See what I did there? You know, implying I was talking about Iron Gold and then going for something else, even though of course I’m crazy psyched for that too… Anyhoo I only read the Bear and the Nightingale recently, but I am so in love with it that I can’t wait for the Girl in the Tower now!

I tag: Rivermoose, Sophie, Never Not Reading, Rebecca@MyLifeAsASportsFangirl, Lois@MyMidnightMusing and anyone that wants to do it!

Okay, so in my brain now that all the Christmas stuff is starting up, Autumn is nearly over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about the “season of mists and mellow fruitfulness” still 😉 What’s your favourite thing about Autumn? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Oooh thank you for tagging me! I’ve had my eye on this tag, but have yet to actually do it.

Is it bad that I haven’t read any of the books you mentioned? I think I might read the Miss Peregrine’s series eventually 🙂

  2. I really need to read Blackwing. So many good reviews! You’re my absolute favorite person as well! Thanks for doing the tag. Technically winter doesn’t begin until December 21st so you’re still on time with it 😁

  3. So ‘Black Wing’ has a great ending? I need to look it up, I read too many books with shitty ending this year haha 😀

…And I go straight to Christmas feeling once Halloween is over! I love Christmas time 😀
Although I am STILL getting used to Christmas in summer. It’s so weird. It’s my 5th Christmas in Australia and I still miss Christmas markets, snow(haha, sometimes^^.. more like mud..) and cozy evenings with hot chocolate and/or tea!

    1. It has a great *everything*!! I just wanted to talk about it cos it completely blew me away with its awesomeness from beginning to end 😀
hahaha I know the feeling 😉
Oh gosh I always forget about that!! hehe that must be a mindbender 😉

  4. Great post! I especially liked the layout for this one. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons. As crazy as that may sound I am not a Summer person at all. These are some cool looking books. As usual I don’t know a lot of them (sorry about that 😢) but that doesn’t mean I can’t add a few of them to my to read list lol 😂😂

    1. Thank you!! I know right- I love this tag 😀 It was nicely done by the creator 😀 hehe I get that- I actually love Spring and Autumn, cos they’re the in-between times and I like that feeling of change 😀 hehe no worries 😉 hahaha ooh I hope you try some of them 😉 If you like things dark and gritty I might nudge you towards Blackwing and Red Rising is awesome sci fi 😉

  5. I saw this tag last week and thought about doing it, but I feel like I’ve moved well beyond fall 😦
And today didn’t help. Rain all day, just a couple of degrees above freezing and it’s dark out at 4pm. I want soup!

Red Rising. Action indeed! I really enjoyed that book.

    1. Ah I know the feeling- I actually checked the dates for when winter started and I don’t quite believe it cos it’s getting really cold here! hehe although it sounds worse where you are… so I’ll quit complaining 😉 (although soup is always welcome 😉 )
Oh great- I’m really glad- have you tried the rest of the series? It’s very dramatic!

  6. Hello!
Love your answers 🙂 I’ve been wanting to read Carry On for the longest time, but haven’t gotten around to it. I absolutely love books that are warm and fuzzy – Now I feel much more motivated to read this book!
It is funny because I was just thinking about this tag today! I was tagged earlier on by another blogger, but I wondered if it was too late in the year to do a tag about fall. I guess not! Now I will go ahead and do this tag >:)

    1. Thank you!! Oh it’s wonderful- it’s a loving parody of Harry Potter and basically one of the most fun books ever! And so sweet!
hehee I know right- I was sure I was too late, but it’s still technically autumn, even if it feels like winter 😉

  7. You’ve reminded me I really must read Blackwing! And, of course, Iron Gold when it comes out 😀 As for the best thing about autumn, I’m going to go with the mists (though I like the ‘mellow fruitfulness’ as well 😉 ) – there’s nothing quite so mysterious and moody as a veil of mist over everything!

    1. It’s actually awesome! And really complex and well thought out (it’s basically Romans in space- and the classist in me was really satisfied with how accurately it was done) I think you’d actually really like it! Basically, yes! Read it!! 😀 Thank you!!

  8. Great answers for this tag! I agree that Miss Peregrine felt quite unique and new, I liked that about it…I’m just a bit sad I didn’t fall in love with it all, the first book was quite average to me :/ I can’t believe I haven’t read Red Rising yet, ahah 🙂

  9. Oh I love your answers for this tag. Miss Peregrine’s is a great choice for a book that felt fresh and new because it’s such a unique story, and I loved the photos that were included alongside as well. Carry On is a perfect choice for the book that gave you the warm and fuzzy’s, my mind would have been repeating that over and over for me as well. 🙂
Also I really need to re-read Red Rising so I can finally get around to Morning Star. The whole trilogy is pretty much at the top of my to-read list for the remainder of 2017! 😀
    Great answers. 🙂 ❤

    1. Thank you so much!! Yes it was really well done and felt so different (even from graphic novels) ahhh I know right- I love that book!! So sweet!!
Oh yes- it’s brilliant!! I hope you like how it ends!! Good luck!!
Thank you so much!! 😀 ❤

  10. Even though it’s still fall, most people seem to have skipped to Christmas and other wintery, holiday-ish things. Even mall decorations seemed to have skipped the entirety of fall after Halloween to Christmas! Anyways, great book selections for this tag — my favorite book you chose will have to be Fahrenheit 451, because wow, that book is actually on fire. 😆 When I read it my copy was a nice red color with matches on the front with no fire. The edition you have up there is definitely much cooler 😄

    1. hehe I know right!! It was such a quick changeover (I mean, it’s quick every year, but still!) Thank you so much!! hehehe I know right 😉 haha well that’s just the edition I have on my kindle- it looks great, but sometimes amazon changes the cover on there, so I try not to get too attached 😉

  11. Miss Peregrine’s is such a unique book! I loved the atmosphere in in, which was amplified by all the creepy pictures. Red Rising is a book that I have been meaning to pick up for ages, but never gotten around to it for some reason. Hopefully I will be able to get my hands on it soon! 😀 Okay, the cover for Girl in the Tower is gorgeous! I definitely need to check that book out!

  12. Oh my goodness, I am so excited about The Girl in the Tower that I actually pre-ordered it! Do you know when the last time I pre-ordered something was? Probably Harry Potter 7. The Bear and the Nightingale was SO GOOD! One of my only 5 stars this year.

Rainbow Rowell books give me the warm fuzzies too. 🙂
