Your Bookish Identity Tag

your bookish identity tag.png

Hello all! I have such a fun tag to do today all about my bookish identity- woohoo!– I can’t wait to get into it! But first, thank you so much to the spectacular Sam @RivermooseReads for tagging me- her blog is so great and has so many brilliant features (like Bookish Baking- c’mon how cool is that?!) you have to check her out! Now time for the tag…

What dystopian/fantastical world would you live in?

Maybe a weird answer, but my favourite fantastical place will always be Mirkwood. It’s got everything- hallucinogenic water, dark elves, giant man-eating spiders… Wait hang on- this is sounding less appealing. Not sure why I ever thought this was a good idea…

Who would your partner be?

Rhysand from Court of Mist and Fury- he’s dark and mysterious on the surface, but secretly a scrumptious sweetheart underneath. I think his fighting skills would come in useful in Mirkwood as well. Too bad he’s destined for Feyre *sighs*. A girl can dream though 😉

Who would be your godly mother/father? [Percy Jackson]

Hades! Especially the Hades from Percy Jackson- I think Riordan got him down to a tee.

FYI as a classicist I not-so-secretly hate Disney’s Hercules, but the picture’s still awesome

Would you be a downworlder or nephilim? [Shadowhunter world]

Downworlder for sure- I think if I had the choice I’d pick Warlock specifically. Basically I want to be able to do magic:

Which house would you be in? [Harry Potter]

Which faction would you be in? [Divergent]

I’ve done a few quizzes for this and always get Divergent, but if I had to choose, I’d pick Erudite (even if they are the baddies/maybe because they’re the baddies)

What would be your daemon [Northern Lights]

I’m assuming this would be the same as my patronus, which I’ve gone into before, and I reckon would be an ocelot.

I Tag:

Nel, Naty, Rebecca, Noriko, Kristin, Kat, Fran, Dani, Zezee and Siobhan

Do you identify with any of my *ahem* totally sensible choices? Who else wants to live in Mirkwood? Any takers? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Oh gosh, daemon! Oh you know what, I know what mine would be. I’ll have to take a quiz for the divergent question cause I’ve not read those. Also, I think I’ll just agree with you on the Shadowhunter question cause i never read those books either but I like magic just as much as the next person so warlord sounds good to me too! 😀 Thanks for the nomination! I’ll definitely be doing this tag soon!

  2. I love the heart and soul of Abnegation, which probably comes from my volunteerism and my belief that it’s akin to church going. I see myself as a noble fit for Dauntless (because I have kids). I relate completely to Amity since most of my peeps are of the peace loving variety and I truly dig that. I cannot go wrong with Candor, seeing as how my blog partner- Linds B- would definitely be in that faction. And I am forever leaning on my Erudite pals to lend me their expertise on myriad topics of interest.

    Does this mean . . . gasp! That I’m . . . factionless?!

  3. Mirkwood….out of all the places you could pick you choose Mirkwood? Hmm, well I suppose it’s still better than living in Mount Doom I guess. There is always something worse I guess lol 😂😂 Great post: Seriousky entertaining!

    1. hahahaha yes I would!!! I know it’s crazy 😂😂😂 I’ve just loved it since I was a child- though now I realise it’s pretty nuts. (I’ve even given that answer in other tags before and it was literally only this time that I realised quite how bad that could get 😂 ) Thank you!

      1. Well lol, as I said I guess there could be even worse places to live in. Aside from the spiders I guess it would be allright (it’s just that the spiders make it a pretty lousy place to live at in the first place, so there is that 😂😂).

  4. I have to admit I had to google Mirkwood but I would totally go there, spiders and all 🙂 I’m also a Ravenclaw and Erudite (I think that’s common to bookworms) but my patronus is was some kind of bird which I thought was a bit rubbish but would make a pretty decent daemon especially if I get to be one of the witches.

  5. I remember my house was hufflepuff??? Oh, I totally forgot… lol
Thank you so much for the tag! I’ll do it when I have time (and when I’m feeling better 😉
    Hugs! ❤

  6. I love this tag, and I loved reading your answers as well. 😀 I can’t say I’d wanna live in Mirkwood, granted it sounds like a great fantasy setting but you lost me completely at giant man-eating spiders! 🙂
Rhysand would be a great partner though, and oh I really want know what my daemon would be (I took a quiz ages ago but can’t remember what animal I got!)
Again great answers for this tag! 🙂 ❤️

    1. It’s an awesome tag! Thank you 🙂 hahaha yeah it’s a great fantasy setting- but on reflection not my best option lol- I actually hate spiders with a passion 😂😂
He definitely would be!! Oh yes!! I know what you mean 😉 I just went with my patronus answer from Pottermore cos I figure it’d be similar 😉
      Thank you!! 😀 ❤

      1. That’s all right! 🙂 I hate spiders with a passion as well, any world that has giant spiders is just going to be an automatic no for me. 😀
Yeah why not? In a way I guess a daemon and a patronus are quite similar right? (It’s been a long time since I read either Harry Potter or The Northern Lights so I could be wrong about that).
        That’s all right! 🙂 ❤️

  7. Oooooh Orangutan! This is SUCH a fun tag… I haven’t done many of these quizzes so I’ll have to do it… the Daemon one looks fun! I’ll always go for dragon if fantasy creatures are allowed… I’ll habe to think about real animals… maybe a serval! ♥️ I can TOTALLY see you living in Mirkwood…

  8. I had to go see what Mirkwood was because I’m not a LOTR fan… But I certainly didn’t quite get the appeal? You know, I like my fantastical worlds to be a bit safer and less death-inducing? 😂 But hey, if you say so, I believe you!
OMG HADES ❤ I agree, Riordan made such a cool version of him but if I have to say I have a soft spot for the Disney one? xD Sorry, but it's true! He made me laugh way too hard when I was younger and still does, now that I can understand the jokes even better 😛
Daemons were one of my favorite aspects of His Dark Materials trilogy. They're a bit like patronus in the sense that they are the physical representation of what a person really is on the inside (you know, instead of the person they present themselves to the world) and they take the shape of animals, just like patronus. But they're always there and will be more like companions to their humans, since they're technically a part of their "soul", I guess. And they're corporeal, like real animals would be.
I also love how the author gave daemons all these interesting nuances, like they are usually of the opposite gender of their human and how kids' daemons will be changing constantly until a point in adolescence when they stick to just one form for the rest of their lives. I just thought it was super cool 🙂
I think you'd love to read it. One of the main characters has a snow leopard as his daemon and even though that's not an ocelot, it's still pretty close and soooo awesome ❤
    Awesome tag!

    1. You’re totally right!! 😂😂 The thing is that’s been one of my “go to” answers for ages, and it only occurred to me this time that maybe it’s not the best idea 😉 I mean, it’s really magical and all, but I don’t really fancy the near death/actual death experiences 😂😂
Yes I totally get that!! Lol!! Fair enough, I think it was actually the first disney film I watched at the cinema, so I should love it- but I didn’t watch it for years, until uni (a weird right of passage for classics students) and I was just grinding my teeth at the inaccuracy 😂😂 He’s the best thing about that movie- even if he’s not Hades in my head 😂
I totally get that! Northern Lights is actually one of my favourite series. They’re one of my favourite parts too- I just was trying to figure out what animal it would be without doing a dozen tests 😂 Love Stelmaria as well 😉 Though Pan was obviously my favourite 😉
      Thank you!! ❤

  9. Erudite seems to be the best for me too! hahaha, I am not into dangerous things, I am not into drugs… and seems to be that I am a bit too selfish… so haha maybe because they are the baddies? hmmm maybe I am bad to that is why I am selfish XD I have one quiz… hmmm I will do it again once I get home XD

Great post! Awesome answers!! Hope you could take a look at my blog! ❤ I am keeping an eye on yours!

    1. hahaha I totally get that- and, for the record, I’m not into drugs either and I don’t think I could be that selfless either 😉 hhaha I think it’s all relative in this case, cos no one is really that one dimensional 😉
Thank you so much- absolutely! I’ll check it out 😀 ❤
