Me In Book Characters Tag!

me in book characters tag

Hello all! I’m sorry I’ve been away for a couple of days and for being absent a lot last week, I’ve just been really knackered getting back into the swing of things after the New Year and a bit run down. I set aside a couple of evenings to bloghop and everything, but I fell asleep early instead…

you fell asleep

Anyhoo, excuse the preamble. I’m trying to catch up with everything slowly but surely- bear with me! In the meantime, I’m gonna chillax with a super fun tag 😀

Thank you so much to super talented Arwa @One’s Peculiar and the ridiculously fun Rebecca @Life as a Sports Fangirl for this one!

The Rules:

  1. Thank the creators of the tag (Us! Ash & Lo @ windowsill books)
  2. Thank whoever tagged you!
  3. List 5 book characters who you are most like and explain why.
  4. Tag your friends!

peter pan and wendy

Peter Pan, Peter Pan– I ain’t never growing up guys.

unseen academicals

The Librarian, Discworld– okay I may say more than “ook” and “eek” but I do actually have a lot in common with my literary counterpart- let’s face it, I go bananas over books for one thing.

Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter– not only is she a Ravenclaw (#housepride) she’s also about as wacky and eccentric as it gets- which I really relate to. To quote Kaiser Wilhelm II “You English are mad, mad, mad as March hares”- which brings me onto….

Alice, Alice in Wonderland– this list is getting “curiouser and curiouser”- I’ve always really identified with Alice, cos she’s so imaginative and, let’s be honest, a bit of an insufferable know it all. Hey- no one said I should only advertise my good traits, speaking of which the next character on this list is…

Smaug, The Hobbit– Smaug is my spirit animal. Let’s just say I can be a little hot-headed 😉

And that’s that! I tag: Nel, Beth, A Book Calls, Melanie, Lucinda, Kat, Dragons & Zombies, Dani, Zezee, Emily, Katie @Never Not Reading, Anna, Cynic on WingsSamantha@Modern Witch’s Bookshelf and anyone else that wants to do it.

So which characters do you most identify with? Let me know in the comments!

I’m going to be a slightly facetious author and pick one of my own characters: Avery McKinnon (since she basically is me, from my days of dying my hair red and honestly wishing I could live in a hobbit hole and be married to a faery prince).

    Feel better!!

Hey, really, no apologies ate necessary whatsoever. It happens at times, just make sure you are allright first. Seriously 😀
And just so you know: I have never grown up either, and likely I never will (so love your choice for Peter Pan 😂😂).
Take care, and hope you will feel better soon 😀

Oh I definitely understand falling asleep in the evenings instead of blog hopping. I’ve done that once or twice myself and the new year can be pretty knackering as well. 🙂
Great post, I loved reading your answers for this one and I think these are all brilliant characters to identify with. I feel like Luna Lovegood and Alice could be two of mine as well (although I’m not a Ravenclaw like Luna I can be eccentric and wacky like her!)
Thanks so much for the tag, and again great post. 😀 ❤

My childhood self would have identified with Tiffany Aching. A pity I was well into adulthood when I discovered those books. As an adult, or rather, what I’d hope to become in old age is Esmeralda Weatherwax. It just doesn’t get better than that as an old lady. Though some might prefer Nanny Ogg… Hmmm… Who else? Arya Stark— in my dreams! What a little bad ass! I used to dream of becoming a warrior, of course, being in the modern world, that meant joining the army like my grandfather. Fortunately, by the time I was in highschool, I had learn not to trust the government, so I never enlisted. Still, would be nice to be like her. The Weaselly twins, who are always into mischief. If only I had a twin…what fun I would have! I need to think of one more, but my mind has gone blank, so I give up.

Well, what I do know of you through blogging, I think you have very good self-knowledge because those characters seem to fit you like a fist in the eye, that’s for sure.. The Librarian and Alice? bang on 😀

Meant to comment but got sidetracked cause my mexican food order was wrong, haha. Thank you for the nomination! I’m going to have a field day thinking about this one over the weekend cause so far I can only think of like 2 and one of them may or may not be a musketeer ;). I love that you put Smaug on your list, hahahaha. Out of all the LOTR chars it definitely had to be that one eh? 😛

Haha “insufferable know-it-all”….I relate. Thanks for the tag! I honestly don’t know which books I’d pick since you nailed the exact sames ones as I would have (Luna and Peter Pan) but I guess that’ll force me to be creative. XD Cheers, and do feel better!

If you put all of the qualities/characters into one person, imagining, that makes one hell of an eclectic, spectacular and fun person.

I understand what you mean – I had issues getting back into my routine after the holidays too. I’m getting better but still nowhere near to where I was before in December.

AAAH! I am so excited you tagged me for this. I saw it on someone else’s blog and I just wanted to steal it, but now I have a legit reason to do the tag! I can’t wait to figure out who I am most alike (because despite what I just said, I didn’t actually think about answers). Thanks!

Oooh yay this tag is awesome! Thank you for nominating me! I’m drawing a complete blank at the moment, but I’ll have a think and come up with something rule bending as usual 😂. Also, you fell asleep? I thought you were nocturnal? Seriously though, hope you’re feeling better xxx

Ooooh, I love how there are so many classics on this list! Fancy! 😊 I’ve actually never read Peter Pan, but I love the movie and all the spinoffs I’ve read/seen for it… do you recommend the original text for me to read? I’ve been stuck on what classic I should read next!

Aw thanks for tagging! That looks like fun 😀

And you look like a fun mix! I am just trying to visualize a Smaug-Luna-Librarian fusion..

it’s from the deepest depths of hell 😀 Hahahahaha

Peter Pan is such a great choice though ❤

An interesting read! Though Neville Longbottom isn’t liked much as a character, I always felt bad for him. I was like him as a child. Always forgetful (remember how he wrote down all the passwords! I did something similar to that in my childhood), nervous with low self-confidence.
