Hello all! I’m having a bit of a chill Sunday and thought it might be fun to do a quick tag 😀
I was tagged by the wonderful Chitra @Books and Strips– really recommend you check her out!
REUNION OF FAMILY
NAME A BOOK WITH FAMILY GOALS
Gosh I’m tempted already to just go with Chitra’s answer of the Weasley family, but to be different (and cos it feels appropriate for this time of year) I’m gonna go with Blue’s family in Raven Boys
FULL MOON
NAME A BOOK WITH A WEREWOLF
I really don’t read that many books with werewolves, and, again, to avoid being HP centric for all my answers, I’m going with The Mortal Instruments series- especially cos I rarely bring it up for positive reasons.
MOONCAKES
NAME A KIND OF FOOD IN A BOOK THAT YOU WISH WAS REAL
Okay, now I really have to go Harry Potter all the way. Not just the obvious ones like Butterbeer and Pumpkin Pasties, I would love if all the food in that series was real. I love the sound of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavoured Beans, Fizzing Whizzbees, Chocolate Frogs… are you sensing a theme 😉 (fortunately you can get very similar things in the real world now)
RABBIT
NAME YOUR FAVOURITE CREATURE FROM A BOOK
Ooh good question! That’s got to be a Daemon from Northern Lights– because I WANT ONE! Mine would be an ocelot… bookish dreams *sigh*
CHANGE
A CHARACTER THAT MAKES A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE TO THE PLOT SINCE HE/SHE DID SOMETHING TOO MANY TIMES
I’m going with Adelina from The Young Elites– but I can’t say any of the ways she does this cos of *spoilers*
LANTERNS
NAME A TOY OR GAME IN A BOOK THAT YOU LIKED TO READ ABOUT
That’s gotta be Thud! from Discworld. And I’ve actually played a real version- it’s so fun!!
AUTUMN
NAME A BOOK WHICH YOU FEEL IS THE BEST TO READ IN AUTUMN
I think a book like Hazel Wood is perfect for this season- it’s slightly spooky, has a fairy tale feel and is atmospheric to boot!
FESTIVAL
NAME YOUR FAVOURITE FESTIVAL IN A BOOK
While I wasn’t crazy about this book, I did like the way Winter Solstice in the Night Court was described. Actually all the festivals described in this series are so lush and evocative- I just wish they were real!
That’s all for now- I tag:
Kelly @Another Book in the Wall, Geronimo Reads, Katie @Never Not Reading, Embuhhlee Liest, Sam @Modern Witch’s Bookshelf, Meltotheany, Kristin Kraves Books, Dany@Perspective of a Writer, Sam @Rivermoose Reads, Bookmark Your Thoughts, Sophie @Blame Chocolate and Paperback and Flick Chick
And anyone else that wants to do it! What’s your favourite festival in a book? Let me know in the comments!
